TESDA-Cordillera State Institute of Technical Education – Mountain Province (TESDA-CSITE MP) reaffirmed its commitment to environmental stewardship and public health by supporting the Local Government Unit of Sabangan’s Clean and Green Environment Drive through a Wellness Walk and Roadside Clean-Up Drive on July 21, in line with its Green Technical and Vocational Education and Training (Green TVET) initiatives.
The activity forms part of TESDA-CSITE MP’s continuing efforts to promote sustainable and environmentally responsible practices among its staff and learners while extending these initiatives to the wider community.
Complementing the campus-based “Oplan Taob” campaign, which aims to prevent dengue by eliminating potential mosquito breeding sites, the clean-up drive highlights the institution’s holistic approach to wellness, environmental protection, and community service.
Led by Vocational School Administrator Proserphina P. Pacyado, TESDA-CSITE MP personnel traversed approximately five kilometers from Sitio Pakya in Barangay Poblacion to Sitio Benenas in Barangay Bun-ayan, collecting and segregating roadside waste for proper disposal.
The Local Government Unit of Sabangan promptly collected and transported the segregated waste, reflecting the shared commitment of local institutions and government stakeholders in fostering a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment.
Through Green TVET, TESDA-CSITE MP continues to demonstrate that technical vocational institutions play a vital role not only in developing a skilled workforce but also in advancing environmental sustainability and community well-being.
