Thirty-four trainees and personnel of the TESDA-Cordillera State Institute of Technical Education (CSITE) Kalinga Campus and TESDA Provincial Office-Kalinga donated blood during a TESDA Anniversary bloodletting activity on August 20, 2026, at the CSITE Kalinga Campus in Bulanao, Tabuk City. The activity gave members of the TESDA community an opportunity to contribute to the community beyond skills training. Voluntary blood donation helps support the availability of blood for patients who may need transfusions during medical emergencies, treatment, or other critical situations. Donors included trainees from Driving NC II, Tile Setting NC II, Masonry NC II, Bread and Pastry Production (BPP) NC II, and Training Methodology I (TMI), along with personnel from CSITE Kalinga Campus and TESDA Provincial Office-Kalinga.
Facilitated by Aurline S. Bautista, Nurse I of CSITE Kalinga Campus, the activity was conducted in coordination with the Kalinga Philippine Red Cross Medical Team, which handled the medical screening, assessment, and blood collection.
The bloodletting activity added a community service component to the TESDA Anniversary celebration, showing that the occasion can also be an opportunity for trainees and personnel to respond to a community need through a simple but potentially life-saving act.
