TESDA-CSITE Mountain Province Intensifies Dengue Prevention Through Oplan Taob

SABANGAN, Mountain Province — In response to the heightened risk of dengue during the rainy season, the TESDA-Cordillera State Institute of Technical Education Mountain Province Campus (TESDA-CSITE MPC) mobilized staff and students for a campus-wide “Oplan Taob” campaign on June 17, 2026, eliminating potential mosquito breeding sites and strengthening community awareness on dengue prevention.

The activity began with an orientation by the Campus Nurse on the Department of Health’s (DOH) 5S Strategy, followed by a search-and-destroy operation across the campus. Participants cleared clogged drainage, removed discarded tires, cleaned flower pots, and overturned water-filled containers where mosquitoes could breed.

Beyond the one-day cleanup, TESDA-CSITE Mountain Province will institutionalize weekly Thursday inspections to sustain dengue prevention efforts throughout the rainy season, reinforcing a culture of shared responsibility for a safer and healthier learning environment.
